Our stay at the luxurious Onduli Ridge camp in the remote and rugged Damaraland region of Namibia was a highlight of our 2024 Namibia trip! It was love at first sight upon arrival at this stunningly beautiful eco-lodge situated within the jagged granite hills and endless desert plains of Damaraland. The lodge and guest chalets blend seamlessly with the rock domes and rolling hills of the Namibian desert, and the open-air design promotes immersion in nature while offering eye-popping views from literally every location in camp (even your bathroom!).

The level of attention we received was exceptional, making us feel genuinely welcome and fostering connections with the staff.
Besides providing an exceedingly gorgeous and comfortable place to relax and sleep at night, Onduli Ridge offers excellent ways to occupy your time at camp. Whether you want to indulge yourself in a massage at the spa (highly recommended!), cool off in the pool while gazing out across endless desert plains, or stretch your legs on a scenic guided afternoon e-bike ride, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. Be sure to go to bed early enough so that you can enjoy stargazing from your bed as you fall asleep under some of the darkest, purest night skies out there.
The remote location of Onduli Ridge contributes to it feeling like the ultimate desert escape, and we recommend flying into the camp airstrip to cut travel time. Three nights is the perfect stay, allowing ample time to relax in camp and explore nearby attractions such as the ancient rock art at Twyfelfontein.
Finally, for those looking for an even more luxurious and exclusive experience, you can stay at Onduli Enclave, a private villa next to Onduli Ridge that mirrors the design of the original camp, with greater opulence and privacy.
