Zimbabwe Conservation Safari - MCF Auction 2025

Luxury Fly-In Conservation Safari

7 Days Exploring Zimbabwe
Exclusively for the
Moonlight Community Foundation

Experience the wild heart of Zimbabwe on this exclusive fly-in luxury safari. Crafted for travelers who value conservation and comfort, this weeklong safari blends unforgettable wildlife encounters with behind-the-scenes access to one of Africa’s most inspiring conservation success stories.

Your adventure begins aboard the iconic Elephant Express (featured on the BBC News), an open-air safari railcar that winds through Hwange National Park. Spend four nights at the elegant Camelthorn Lodge, your base for immersive safari days led by some of Zimbabwe’s top guides - the best on the continent. From cheetahs and lions to some of the biggest elephant herds in Africa, you’ll explore Hwange by vehicle, foot, and hidden blinds for thrilling, up-close wildlife sightings. Sable, buffalo, giraffe, and zebra abound with lucky sightings of wild dog or leopard.

The highlight of this adventure is a visit to the Ngamo Wildlife Sanctuary to meet Thuza and Kusasa, the first white rhinos reintroduced to Hwange in over 20 years, and several more rhinos who have recently joined them (learn more about the rhino reintroduction in this New York Times article). You’ll go behind the scenes of the Community Rhino Conservation Initiative and meet the elite rangers and K9 unit protecting the rhinos, with additional opportunities for a village and school visit to meet the local community.

After four nights in Hwange, you will fly to Victoria Falls for two nights at the luxurious Victoria Falls River Lodge. Cruise the mighty Zambezi at sunset, take a privately guided tour of the world’s largest waterfall, and fall asleep to the soft symphony of frog songs and hippo calls each night in your luxurious chalet perched right along the river.

This one-of-a-kind safari supports critical conservation work while delivering an unforgettable adventure in one of the greatest parks in Africa.

This trip can be further customized by adding days at additional camps in Hwange, like the Tum Tum Treehouses or Nehimba, where elephants join guests for dinner each night. The winning guests may consider bringing additional family members or friends, or extending the adventure into nearby Zambia or Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

Whether it’s your first safari or your tenth, this journey promises to be truly life-changing.
