This morning you will head out on a day trip to explore the ancient Roman ruins at Jerash, one of the most impressive and well-preserved Roman archaelogical sites in the world. After enjoying a delicious lunch at a women’s cooperative, you will explore the sprawling complex of Ajloun Castle, a medieval fortress that played a key role in controlling trade routes and protecting Jordan from the Crusaders.
Today starts with a visit to the city of Madaba, which is best known for its amazing Byzantine mosaics, including the Madaba Map, the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Lands.
